Grants play a pivotal role for Haywood Community College. Grants help Haywood Community College be innovative and current with the latest technology by purchasing industry related equipment and developing flexible and robust programs while ensuring student and industry success.

Haywood Community College actively pursues grants from multiple resources and we have been successful in obtaining funding and putting the money to work for our industries.

Haywood Community College is part of a statewide consortium that promotes growth in advanced manufacturing jobs by revising curriculum, enhancing student recruitment and fostering partnerships with industry. Since the NCAMA inception, programs in Advanced Technologies have increased enrollment and retention and put a strong emphasis on internship and job placement.

Grant monies helped to upgrade equipment in Computer Integrated Machining, Industrial Systems Maintenance, and Electronics Engineering Technologies.
