Safety

Purpose
The Safety Committee’s purpose is that of providing, planning and promoting safety and security to the extent possible for the campus community (students, faculty, staff and visitors. Responsibilities shall include:
  1. Perform periodic inspections of the campus to insure that facilities are safe for students, faculty, staff and the general public.
  2. To educate employees and students in the area of safety.
  3. To ensure that procedures are in place for employees to report safety infractions
  4. To monitor plans for emergency procedures (ie: intruder, fire, bomb threats, hazard communications, etc)
  5. To serve as an advisory committee to the President concerning campus safety
Schedule
The committee will meet quarterly or as needed
Membership
The composition of the committee is made up of faculty and staff; the SGA president will represent students.
