Creative Arts Website

Creative Arts has a new website! For news, events, course listings, program information and more, visit creativearts.haywood.edu.

Western North Carolina is fertile ground for professional crafts. There are many working artists, craftspeople, shops and galleries throughout the region. For more than 30 years, Haywood's Professional Craft program has played a key role in this region’s cultural and economic development of Western North Carolina.

Haywood Community College is located in beautiful Haywood County, North Carolina. Bordered by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park to the north and the Blue Ridge Parkway to the south, Haywood County offers outdoor recreation of all kinds, with quaint small towns and plenty of back road rural communities. The city of Asheville is located only 30 minutes away.

The college will break ground in 2010 for the new Creative Arts building that will enhance our programs and further our mission of offering the very best in craft education.
