Haywood Community College and the Haywood Correctional Center will be co-sponsoring a seven band Bluegrass/Gospel Jam on Saturday, March 21 from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the HCC Auditorium. Event proceeds will benefit the 2009 North Carolina Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run. Admission is $10, requires advance purchase, and is non-refundable.
Participating bands include Hill Country, Cornerstone, His Fold, Fiddle and Fret, Cold Mountain Bluegrass, Brothers 4 Him, and Balsam Range.
Tickets are available at Strains of Music in Waynesville, State Employees Credit Union in Waynesville, Bryson City Health and Fitness, Pioneer Feed and Seed in Waynesville, and the HCC Natural Resources Department. Limited tickets are available. For more information, please call 627-4560.
