HandMade in America is pleased to announce that the Arts Business Institute (ABI) will hold the Arts Business Boot Camp on the campus of Haywood Community College on Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8. The Arts Business Boot Camp is a weekend workshop that addresses the fundamentals of marketing for artists.

ABI faculty for this year’s event is Nancy Markoe, gallery owner and designer in St. Pete Beach FL, and Milon Townsend, glass artist and writer in Rochester, NY.

ABI is nationally recognized for a curriculum and faculty specifically designed to provide relevant information and business strategies for craft artists in today's economy. The Arts Business Boot Camp is designed for seasoned veterans or emerging artists or gallery owners. Seminar topics include: Finding Your Market; Keeping up with the Economic Times; Pricing, Display and Merchandising Techniques; Creation and Evolution of a Wholesale Product Line; Policies, Procedures & Controls that Prepare You for the Bumps in the Road; and Trends in the Market Place.
