Haywood Community College and the Haywood Correctional Center will be co-sponsoring a Bluegrass/Gospel Jam on Saturday, April 17 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the HCC Auditorium. Event proceeds will benefit the 2009 North Carolina Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run. Admission is $10 and is non-refundable. Participating bands include Pine Mountain Railroad and Hominy Valley Boys. Tickets are available at Strains of Music in Waynesville, the Haywood Correctional Facility, Smoky Mountain Chevrolet in Franklin, and the HCC Natural Resources Department.
