Haywood Community College’s Continuing Education Department and Evergreen Packaging presents motivational speaker Charlie Morecraft on September 16 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. and September 17 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. in the Charles Beall Auditorium. The two day free session is entitled Safety-Everyone’s Responsibility.

Morecraft has 27 years of experience at Exxon Oil Refinery as a worker and manager of safety. His career with Exxon ended when an explosion burned over 45% of his body. For more than 20 years, Morecraft has traveled extensively world-wide presenting safety messages in a powerful new way.

Morecraft’s sessions reaches and touches people at all levels in an organization from blue collar workers to the CEO and President. Each presentation is concluded with a question and answer interaction with the audience. This presentation highly motivates workers and management to work as a team and not as adversaries, ultimately creating a safer work environment. Through his dynamic presence, Morecraft motivates audience members to take responsibility for their own actions and their own safety.
