Fundamentals of Green Building Construction

Unemployed? Looking for a Career Change? Interested in Construction? Have you ever considered the challenges of energy efficient Green Building Construction?

If you have the time, we have the resources to get you plugged into the Green Building Revolution! Haywood Community College is offering you an opportunity to upgrade your workplace skills and prepare for the changes that are taking place in the residential construction industry.

This course is designed to:

  • Teach you the Fundamentals of Green Building Construction
  • Help you improve your work site Math skills
  • Teach you to use Excel® spreadsheet for job estimating
  • Give you an opportunity to earn a Certified Green Professional™ designation
  • Work with you to get hands-on on-site Green experience
  • Help you develop the skills to get a job and keep it
  • Give you a Certificate of Completion.

The next class starts on October 11th, 2010. Students will register at 1:00pm on October 11th in the Continuing Education Building (1400 Bldg.) on the main campus of HCC.

Financial aid for tuition and books is available for unemployed or under-employed persons.
