North Carolina/ List of Mammals. http://animaldiversity.ummz.umich.edu/site/accounts/information/Mammalia.html Lists all of the mammal species, by Order/Family that are found in North Carolina.

Smithsonian Museum of Natural History/Mammals. http://www.mnh.si.edu/mna/ Users can search for mammal species by North American geographical location; information can also be searched by species name and by conservation status.

University of Michigan Museum of Zoology/Animal Diversity Web. http://animaldiversity.ummz.umich.edu/site/accounts/information/Mammalia.html Users can search for mammals worldwide; this site includes pictures of mammal specimens, sound clips, and classification data.

Western North Carolina Nature Center. http://www.wildwnc.org/education/animals Quick information, including standard descriptions and pictures, of mammals that live in the western part of North Carolina.

Find Circulating Magazines in the HCCLRC:

The HCCLRC subscribes to the following ornithology-related magazines; current magazines are located on the wall mounted magazine shelf racks. Back issues of these magazines are located beneath the wall racks and in the plastic boxes adjacent to the racks.
