The Tech Desk will be on hiatus from April 30-June 1. During this time please refer all questions to an LRC staff member or the respective helplines for IT or Distance Learning. A list of contact numbers and answers to frequently asked HCC tech questions can be found here.
The Student Technology Support Help Desk is located inside of the A.L. Freedlander LRC and provides assistance to students and faculty with computer and technology questions. Services include:
- Accessing Moodle, Haywired, or the campus network
- Accessing the campus wireless network
- Wireless network troubleshooting
- Assistance with campus software, including Office 2010
- Virus & computer maintenance consultation

Appointments:
The Help Desk accepts walk-ins and phone questions and appointments are available during normal tech desk hours. To schedule an appointment call the Help Desk at 828.565.4018 or email the supervisor. Include a name, contact information, times you are available, and a brief description of the problem. Please do not consider any appointment time final until it is confirmed by a staff member and remember to review the tech desk policy before your appointment.
