The 2008 Region A Nursing Consortium Alternate Schedule Pinning Ceremony was held recently in the Norman K. Myers Auditorium at Southwestern Community College. There were a total of 28 nursing graduates pinned. Fourteen of these are Haywood Community College students, eight are from Southwestern Community College, and six are from Tri-County Community College.
The speaker for the ceremony was Amy Putnam, RN and HCC Region A faculty member. The class representative speaker was Brian Beasley from Haywood Community College.
The Region A Nursing Consortium Class of 2008 included the following students from HCC: David Brian Beasley, Melanie Burrell, Heather Denton, Kathy Denton, Ashley Hatch, Tracie McNeely, Alysha Medford, Kimberly Mellies, Michael Rice, Amy Smith, Tiffany Tyler, Tonya Warren, Megan Woody, and Tamikka Young.
