FENG SHUI CLASS TO BE OFFERED AT HCC
Haywood Community College will offer a three-session course on Feng Shui. Classes will meet on Mondays with both a day class and an evening class. Beginning on October 11, the day class will meet from 1–3 p.m. at Continuing Education Building 23 and the evening class will meet from 6:30–9:30 p.m. at the Regional High Technology Center. Cost for the course is $45.
Elizabeth Sholly, a Feng Shui teacher for the past four years and owner of a consulting business called Harmonious Designs, will teach the course. Sholly began her studies of Feng Shui over eight years ago studying in the United States and in China.
The Chinese have practiced Feng Shui, the ancient art of placement, for over three thousand years. According to Chinese tradition, Feng Shui is a practical way of improving your life by bringing harmony and balance into your environment. Sholly says that a person can use Feng Shui methods to make adjustments to his or her environment which can result in more prosperity, better health, and better relationships. She says that these principles can be applied to most anyone’s home and at the last session will actually let the class rearrange a volunteer’s house according to the Feng Shui philosophy
For more information about the Feng Shui course or to pre-register, you may contact the Haywood Community College Continuing Education Community Services Programs at 627-4667.
