HCC Cosmetology Department Regional Competition

The Haywood Community College Cosmetology Department held its regional competition on the HCC campus on Monday, July 15. Tri-County Community College also participated in this year’s competition.

The daylong event had many exciting and artistic entries resulting in a lot of creative expressions. There were nine categories included. The winners of the competition were as follows:

Male Mannequin Consumer Day: First- Aurora Caldwell, Second- Martina Potts, Third- Juli Morgan; Nail Tips with Overlay: First- Hunter Gardner, Second- Candi Eavenson; Baby Doll: First-Tera Presnell, Second- Tri-County, Third- Martina Potts; Ladies Consumer Day: First- Martina Potts, Second- Emily McCravy, Third- Aurora Caldwell; Female Haircutting; First- Tri-County, Second- Lillie McKinney, Third- Lindsey Sale; Total Fashion: First- Tri-County, Second- Amber Henson, Third- Tri-County; Evening Makeup: First- Sharon Queen, Second- Amber Henson, Third- Juli Morgan; Male Haircutting: First- Amber Henson, Second- Sharon Queen, Third- Mikel Carver; Bridal Mannequin: First- Emily McCravy, Second- Martina Potts, Third- Lindsey Sale.
