The Small Business Center of Haywood Community College will offer a free seminar entitled, “Becoming a More Effective Non-Profit Board: Part II” on Tuesday, April 12, from 6-8 pm, on campus in the Student Center, first floor. Last November, popular non-profit consultant Don Wells was the featured speaker at HCC to help local non-profits board members understand the basic responsibilities and expectations to function effectively. A continuation of that discussion will review those topics and provide for a roundtable for dialogue on: Best Practices and Takeaways, Changes Made and Results, Challenges, Future Needs/Trainings, Book Lists.
Group breakaways will offer networking for Executive Directors, Chairs, Board Members, Donors, and Volunteers.
For more information or to preregister for this free seminar, call the Small Business Center at 627 4512.
