Haywood Community College’s Continuing Education Department is offering a Quilting Workshop that will begin on March 10 and run through May 12. The class meets on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The cost of the course is $120. This class ranges from beginning to experienced quilters. Students have the opportunity to learn from each other and have the chance to finish a quilt using the college’s quilt frames while learning new techniques and perfecting traditional methods. Students will get the chance to experience quilting the way it was intended, with friends and laughter. For more information about the Quilting Workshop, please call Laura Simmons at (828) 565-4244.
