Those recognized for full-time instruction include: Blair Bishop – Natural Resources, Chris Graves – Natural Resources, Gerry Kelly – Developmental Education, Sarah McAvoy – Health and Human Services, Susan Roberts – Teaching and Learning Center and Arts and General Education, and Michael Youngwood – Health and Human Services. The part-time recipient is Dawn Cusick – Arts and General Education.

Carpenter will be recognized at HCC’s graduation ceremonies.
Selections begin with nominations from students and end with a professional portfolio review by a panel of the instructor’s peers. Recipients must demonstrate: entrepreneurial practices in the classroom; cooperative learning in the classroom; leadership and involvement in college clubs, student organizations, and campus activities; involvement in professional associations, committee assignments, and college-related work assignments above the normal requirement; effective teaching through student class evaluations; and involvement in the community.
