Haywood Community College Associate in Arts student, Melody Chandler, was nominated for the 2012 All-USA Community College Academic Team presented by USA TODAY and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and sponsored by Follett Higher Education Group. Students nominated to this national team are automatically named to the All-State Community College Academic Teams. The purpose of the team is to recognize outstanding two-year college students. Nominees must have a cumulative college-level grade point average of 3.50.
