Haywood Community College's GED Express class will be held on Thursday, September 20 from 5 until 9 p.m. Those with adequate scores will continue the process on Saturday, September 22 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Participants are asked to bring a bag lunch.
GED Express allows busy individuals the chance to fit classes into their schedule in just an evening and a Saturday. After completing the two express classes, students are then ready to take the official GED tests. The official GED tests require eight hours to complete.
A GED, or General Education Development, is a high school diploma equivalency credential. It is a nationally accepted standard of high school completion that measures knowledge in writing skills, social studies, science, mathematics, and literature and the arts.
GED Express interested participants should call 627-4643 or email dgaddy@haywood.edu for more information or to pre-register.
