The Small Business Center of Haywood Community College will offer a free seminar entitled “All About Home-Based Businesses”, Tuesday, February 9, from 6-9 p.m. in the Student Center Building on the campus of Haywood Community College. The home-based business is no longer a trend but rather a way of life chosen by the millions of Americans who are gainfully self-employed at home. Whether you are starting or have already joined the home-based business revolution, this seminar is for you. This workshop will cover the “How To’s” of organizing your home-based business, insurance, legal, and tax concerns and other home-based issues dealing with home atmosphere, family members, and office space set-up. Strategies and resources for success will address promotion and selling of your home-based products or services. The presenter is Harry Ponder, owner of Carolina Business Services in Weaverville. To pre-register for this free seminar, call the Small Business Center at 627-4512.
