HCC to Offer Tax Implications and Your Legal Structure

The Small Business Center of Haywood Community College will offer a free seminar on “Tax Implications and Your Legal Structure” on Thursday, March 18, 6-8 pm, in the Student Center, first floor. The evening's discussion will revolve around comparing and contrasting business entities, i.e. Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships and LLC's. Topics discussed will include:

• General Tax requirements for each of the entities
• Differences between S Corporations and C Corporations and electing S Corporation status
• Treatment of personal loans to the business
• Guidelines regarding tax deductions for home-based Offices
