The Small Business Center of Haywood Community College will offer a free workshop entitled, “After the ‘Tell Us about Yourself’… How to Select the Right Employee” on Tuesday, April 22, 6-9 p.m., Student Center, first floor. Hiring the wrong person often creates negative energy and contributes to an unproductive workplace. Hiring the right employee can add value to your business and develop new opportunities for the company. Who would you want on your team?

  • Learn to conduct behavior-based interviews
  • Make sure to avoid illegal interview questions
  • Learn to simplify the employee selection process

The presenter is Jimmie Cochran Pratt, M.P.A of Asheville. Cochran Pratt has served as director of career and leadership for Columbia University Graduate School of Social in New York, NY, and more recently worked for the U.S. Department of State in Kosovo developing a career and academic advisement program for the University of Pristina.
