The Small Business Center of Haywood Community College and the Greater Haywood Chamber of Commerce will partner to offer a free workshop for business owners who want to learn how to do business with the college. This workshop, “ How to do Business with Haywood Community College” will be held on Thursday, March 18, from 9-11 AM on campus in the Student Center, first floor. Representatives from the North Carolina Department of Administration will discuss how to navigate the interactive purchasing system. You will learn how to search for bids in your category, by a department, or search for open bids or bid number. Attendees will also explore Vendor Link and learn how agencies search for registered vendors and how you can get registered. Registered vendors can be notified via email when new bids are posted for commodities of interest to the vendor. This workshop will also focus on how to navigate E-Procurement. Business owners will also have the opportunity to meet Haywood Community College’s purchasing staff and learn about any local policies that affect purchasing decisions.
