Haywood Community College Announces 1st Annual Photography Competition
The HCC family is challenging you to take your best shot at photography and submit your best photo(s) in the first ever HCC Photo Contest this fall.
Eligibility: Faculty, Staff, Students, Alumni and past or present Board Members of HCC.
Juror: Ed Kelley-Ed was born and raised in Waynesville, North Carolina. At 19, he acquired his first 35mm camera and took it everywhere. After a couple of degrees in forestry and biology, Ed spent over a year living on Mt. Mitchell, where he served as naturalist and pursued his interest in photography. Although his interests range from wildlife to macro photography, capturing the moods of ever-changing light has always intrigued him.
Winners and selected work will be displayed on the HCC campus and website for one year.
General Contest Rules:
HCC Photo Committee members are ineligible.
There is no entry fee!
Entrants may submit up to three original photographs completed in the last three years. Selections will be made from digital images in the form of jpeg files-no slides and no PowerPoint shows.

Image Submission Requirements:
The Committee and Juror(s) will determine the selection of photographs for the exhibition. The selected artists will receive notification by email on October 26th. Selected work must be delivered, ready to hang, by November 17th. The photographs will be displayed on the HCC campus for one year.
