Policy 3.11: Distribution of Keys

Effective Date: Tue, Jun 09, 1992

Keys will be distributed only by HCC's Security Department. All keys are to be deemed controlled items and will not be duplicated. Keys will be distributed as follows:

  1. Grand Master Keys

    President, Vice Presidents, Maintenance Supervisor, Security personnel, and others approved in writing by the President.

  2. Building Master Keys

    Vice Presidents and custodians. Other supervisory personnel may be issued a key when authorized in writing by a Vice President.

  3. Sub-Master Key

    Department Chairs. Other supervisory personnel and technicians may be issued sub-master keys when authorized in writing by a Vice President.

  4. Change Key

    For individual offices, shops, and laboratories. Instructors, staff, and secretaries may be issued these keys.
