Written policies shall constitute the basic method by which the Board of Trustees of Haywood Community College effectively discharge its responsibilities with regard to policies, rules and regulations as defined by law or which are required in its judgment for the effective operation of the College. All policies shall be written, defined, and based on Haywood Community College’s mission, vision, values, goals and objectives with a thorough understanding and appreciation of the needs of the College. The Board of Trustees adopts policies; the College President guides the development and implementation of administrative procedures, which do not require Board approval.
