Policy 3.29: Solicitation and Visitors on Campus
The College is often host to prospective employers, legislators, North Carolina Community College System officials, and other community members. When possible, instructors will be informed of impending visits and tours in order to do extra preparation that might be in order. However, the College should always be ready to receive guests, and students should be informed at orientation that such tours should not disrupt their shop practice or interrupt classroom procedure.
Sales Representatives are welcome at the College and are important in presenting the image of the institution to other members of the public with whom they come into contact. The College requires them to check first with the Vice President of Administrative Services and the Vice President of Academic Services in order that they may be guided to the proper area and for the administrative staff to be aware they are on campus. Sales Representatives are requested to make appointments after class hours and under no circumstances should they be allowed to interrupt classes. It is always a pleasure to meet and tour with parents of students and prospective students. These visits should be arranged through an administrative office.
