Policy 7.3: Historically Underutilized Business

This policy shall be coordinated through the Executive Director of Business Operations, the Purchasing Department, and the Executive Director of Administrative Services. The Executive Director of Administrative Services shall coordinate for the construction and renovations of facilities.

HUB vendors are identified by the Division of Purchase and Contract as disabled business enterprises along with minority, woman, and disabled owned business. The HUB Policy of Haywood Community College in accordance with Executive Order No. 150 Support for Historically Underutilized Businesses shall encourage the use of HUB vendors in all areas of procurement, without regard to race, gender, or handicap.

The objective of the HUB Policy shall be to utilize vendors, when feasible, in order to exceed the State goal of ten percent (10%).
