Procedure 3.1: Information Technology Services Request

  1. All project requests should be made in writing (email) by a member of the Administrative Council to the Executive Director of Technology and Instructional Support Services. Examples of requests include a document archive system, online registration, HR/ business operations applications -any services or applications that will be offered electronically over Haywood Community College Infrastructure
  2. The request should include a description of service needs, who will use the service, and the resources you may have already previewed.
  3. The Executive Director will contact the requestor with any questions or points of clarification.
  4. The Executive Director will meet with the ITS staff within one week of the date of the request to discuss the project and to determine project category.
    Category One
    Project request can be completed within two weeks.
    Category Two
    Recommendations for a project time line for evaluating applications and determining a solution can be completed in two weeks.
    Category Three
    Recommendations for a solution/application and an implementation time line can be determined in two weeks.
  5. The Executive Director will inform Administrative Council of project and project category for feedback.
  6. The Executive Director will contact requestor of initial project category within three weeks of request.
