Receive Free Tutoring

You can receive free peer tutoring traditionally or ONLINE! or you can earn money tutoring others!!!

The Peer Tutoring Process:

Tutees Peer Tutors
  • Come to the TLC when they are having trouble in any subject
  • Receive peer-tutoring services free of charge
  • Are asked to complete a brief application form
  • Receive instructor referrals
  • May receive up to five hours per week of tutoring
  • Must be currently registered students at Haywood Community College
  • Must maintain an ‘A’ or ‘B’ average in subject(s) they tutor or have completed the subject with an ‘A’ or ‘B’
  • Must be recommended by an instructor
  • Complete an HCC employee packet
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring hours
  • Turn in signed time sheets to the TLC prior to the 5th of each month
  • Receive an hourly stipend with a maximum of ten hours per week
