Haywood Community College is an institutional member of Service Members Opportunity Colleges (SOC).
Service Members Opportunity Colleges (SOC), a consortium of national higher education associations and more than 1,000 institutional members, functions in cooperation with the Department of Defense (DOD), the Military Services including the National Guard and the Coast Guard to help meet the voluntary higher education needs of service members. SOC is sponsored by the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) and the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC).
