Tuition and Fees for Curriculum Students

HCC Tuition and Fees, Fall 2011

For students enrolled in curriculum/credit programs of stuy

Tuition and fees are subject to change based on state legislators and local board action. The folloing tuition and fees rates are current as of August 15, 2011 for Fall 2011 semester:

Tuition

In-state rates:
  • $66.50 per credit hour per semester
  • $1,064.00 for full-time students (16 credit hours or more) per semeser
Out-of-state rates:
  • $258.50 per credit hour per semester
  • $4,136.00 for full-time students (16 credit hours or more) per semester

Fees

Approved by HCC Board of Trustees Nov 2007, based on NC Community College System approved Rates

Student Activity Fee - Fall and Spring
  • $32.50 - 12 or more credit hours
  • $24.00 - 6-11 credit hours
  • $16.50 - 1-5 credit hours
Technology Fee

This supports the procurement, operations and repair of computer and other instructional technology (including supplies and materials that support use of technology).

  • $16.0 - 12 or more credit hours
  • $11.00 - 6-11 credit hours
  • $6.00 - 1-5 credit hurs
Access Fee

This applies to all curriculum students and explained as the method in which they access the college. Access includes internet infrastructure/course delivery method and on-campus parking.

  • $3.00 per semester

  • $1.25 (all students)

Refund Policy:

  1. A 100% refund of tuition and fees shall be made if the student officially drops prior to the first day of classes of the semester as noted in the college calendar. Also, if a course is cancelled by the college, a student is eligible for a 100% refund.
  2. A 75% refund of tuition only shall be made if the student officially drops from the course(s) prior to or on the official 10% point of the semester.
  3. For courses beginning at times other than the first week of the semester, a 100% refund of tuition and fees shall be made if the student officially drops from the course prior to the first class meeting. A 75% refund of tuition shall only be made if the student officially drops from the course prior to or on the 10% point of the course.
