The library is open to all students, faculty and staff, and Haywood County residents. Students, faculty and staff must register for a free library barcode sticker for their campus ID before checking out library resources. Community members may register for a free Community Borrower's card. All library users wishing to check out materials must present a valid library barcode. Patrons are responsible for lost or damaged items and no grades or transcripts can be released until library fines are settled.
Books may be checked out for 3 weeks, except for Reference materials, which do not circulate except by special permission from a librarian. Periodicals and equipment may be checked out for 7 days. All items may be renewed one time unless the item is on hold for another patron. Extra renewals may be granted under special circumstances; these exceptions are rare and never during periods of high demand. Overdue fines are $.10 per day per item.
