FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
FALL REGISTRATION AT HCC
Faculty and staff members at Haywood Community College are making final preparations for the start of fall semester. Registration will be Tuesday, August 13 and Wednesday, August 14 from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. both days.
Student Services personnel will be on hand to answer questions about financial aid and any of HCC s programs of study. Currently, HCC offers over 45 programs of study. This fall, the college introduces two new programs, Film and Video Production Technology and Early Childhood Teacher Associate.
Moviemaking has become a significant industry in North Carolina, making it third in the nation. The Film and Video Production Technology Program prepares students for an entry-level position in production support, post-production, or selected technical areas of film, video and associated media production.
The Early Childhood Teacher Associate Program prepares students to work with children from infancy through middle childhood in diverse learning environments. Employment opportunities include child development and childcare programs, preschools, public and private schools, recreational centers, Head Start Programs, and school age programs.
Anyone interested in beginning a program of study this fall should begin the application process immediately, however, students may continue to apply for enrollment right up to the day of registration.
Classes for fall semester will begin August 15 and the drop-add period will run through August 21.
