MANY OPTIONS AVAILABLE FOR FALL REGISTRATION AT HCC
Faculty and staff members at Haywood Community College are making final preparations for the start of fall semester 2003. Prospective students are encouraged to complete the application process as soon as possible. Students can apply and register at www.haywood.edu online. Regular registration for fall semester 2003 is Wednesday, August 13 and Thursday, August 14 from 9 a.m.-7p.m. Classes begin on Friday, August 15 and the drop-add period will run August 15 through 20.
Student Services staff are available to answer questions about the application process, financial aid, or any of HCC’s more than 45 programs of study.
Students may choose fields of study from many options including Office Systems Technology. The Office Systems Technology curriculum prepares individuals for positions in administrative support careers. It equips office professionals to respond to the demands of a dynamic computerized workplace. Graduates should qualify for employment in a variety of positions in business, government, and industry. Job classifications range from entry level to supervisory levels and middle management.
The Business Administration curriculum provides students with a fundamental knowledge of business functions, processes, and an understanding of business organizations in today’s global economy. Graduates are prepared for employment opportunities in government agencies, financial institutions, and large to small business or industry.
Students enrolled in programs taught at HCC’s Regional High Technology Center receive hands-on experience with state-of-the-art equipment and emerging technologies. The Regional High Technology center is nationally recognized as one of the most outstanding advanced technology centers in the country. Students may choose from numerous programs offered at the center, some of which are Electronic Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Information Systems, Information systems/Network Administration & Support, and Telecommunications and Network Engineering Technology.
