HCC TO OFFER DIGITAL VIDEO AND MEDIA CONCEPTS COURSE
Haywood Community College is offering a Digital Video and Media Concepts course through the Continuing Education Program this fall. The Digital Video and Media Concepts course will teach the basics of camera selection, video usage, and computer editing to bring new ways to present training or other business material to customers, clients, or employees.
"The course will also discuss the best equipment to use, as well as the best way to record to import video to computer, to add sound, voice-overs, and editing basics," explains Ray Hayes, course instructor. "We will cover how to export video to DVD, the personal computer, standard compact discs, and downloading to a website. We will also examine how to use digital video to create slideshows using digital cameras. Overall, this is an interactive, hands-on class"
Hayes is a part-time HCC instructor and network technician. He brings 15 years of computer experience to the classroom including technical and artistic training.
The Digital Video and Media Concepts course will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from November 12 through December 10 from 6-9 p.m. at the HCC Regional High Technology Center. The cost of the class is $60. For more information or to pre-register, please call 452-1411 extension 244 or 264.
