HCC INVITES FOOD AND CRAFT VENDORS TO PARTICIPATE IN ITS MOUNTAIN ECHOES FESTIVAL

Haywood Community College's Mountain Echoes: A Homecoming is looking forward to its second festival on Saturday, June 3. With around 3000 people in attendance last year, this year's festival promises to be a success also.

What is a great event without great food? The festival would like to invite all nonprofit groups such as churches and civic organizations to participate as a vendor in the event. This is a great fundraising opportunity.

Also, Western North Carolina is known for its rich craft history. Mountain Echoes would like to invite all craft professionals to showcase and market their work at this year's festival. Select artists with creation demonstrations where possible are encouraged to apply for the juried show. Crafts may include, but are not limited to, ceramics, jewelry, fiber, wood, metal, glass, and mixed media.

Vendors must agree to be present at their booth during the operating hours of the event. There will be a $50 non-refundable booth fee. Each vendor must arrive by 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 3 to begin set up.

For more information on Mountain Echoes or how to be a food or craft vendor for the event, contact Laura Leatherwood at 627-4544 or visit www.foundation.haywood.edu on the Internet.
