HCC TO OFFER GED EXPRESS NOVEMBER 30 AND DECEMBER 2
Haywood Community College's GED Express will be held on Thursday, November 30 from 6 until 9 p.m. and on Saturday, December 2 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. GED Express allows busy individuals the chance to fit classes into their schedule in just an evening and a Saturday. Participants must first score high on the initial placement test. After completing the two express classes, students are then ready to take the official GED tests. A total of nine hours is required for preparation and practice testing through GED Express. The official GED tests require eight hours to complete.
A GED, or General Education Development, is a high school diploma equivalency credential. It is a nationally accepted standard of high school completion that measures knowledge in writing skills, social studies, science, mathematics, and literature and the arts.
