For the eighth straight year, Haywood Community College’s Woodsmen Team won first place at the 12th Annual Intercollegiate Woodsmen's Meet event held recently at The Cradle of Forestry. This event is held in conjunction with the Annual Forest Festival Day Celebration in the Pisgah National Forest.
HCC competed against Penn State Mont Alto, Montgomery Community College, Dabney S. Lancaster Community College, and Virginia Tech. Over 2,000 spectators were on hand to witness HCC’s victory.
