On Wednesday, April 2, Haywood Community College will host a Sustainable Development Expo in the Student Center Building, first floor. This expo will focus on the growing field of sustainable development businesses and provide information and networking opportunities for both students and the general public.

The expo will begin at 10 a.m. and end at 2 p.m.  Many key players in this broad and popular field will be staffing booths and answering questions in their respective fields.
Areas include:  NC BioNetwork and the NCCCS BioNetwork Mobile Lab, HCC’s Natural Resources and Sustainable Development Programs, NC Natural Products Association, Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project (ASAP), Green Lending (Self-Help Credit Union), Western North Carolina Green Building Council, Photovoltaics (Crawford Creek Electrics), Environmentally Friendly Bath and Body Products (Terra Sole’ Studios), North Carolina Herb Association, Recycling (Haywood County Solid Waste Department), BioFuels, and Community Development.
