Joeleyn Trahan, Haywood Community College Associate in Science student, was selected to represent the college at the 2009 H. Martin Lancaster Community College Art Exhibition.  The three pieces selected are combinations of metal and glass. They are titled “Bronze-tainted glass vessel 1,” “Copper in blue glass II,” and “Steel enameled vase.”

NCCC President Emeritus Martin Lancaster makes the selections of what artwork will be included in the show which is open to students, faculty, and staff of each of the 58 community colleges in North Carolina. Artwork from all media is represented in the show. The pieces stay on display for the entire year. The Opening Reception for the show will be in mid-March.
