Haywood Community College will hold a retirement reception for Dr. Janice Gilliam on Thursday, July 23rd from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. in the college’s Learning Resource Center in Building 200. The reception is open to the community.

Gilliam will retire with more than 22 years of service at HCC and 27 years with the state of North Carolina. She is currently the Vice President of Student Success Services. Gilliam has accepted the position of president at Northeast State Community College in Tennessee. She will replace Dr. Bill Locke who is retiring. Gilliam will begin her new position on August 1.
