Haywood Community College’s Regional Center for the Advancement of Children is celebrating its one year anniversary. The state-of-the-art, five star center serves children from six weeks to 60 months of age with full and part-time care available. The center is now accepting new applications for enrollment. The center is open to community children as well as children of HCC’s students, faculty, and staff.

The Regional Center for the Advancement of Children offers More at Four Programs; low staff to child ratios; nutritious well-balanced meals; 11 spacious rooms; and summer care for children ages 6 to 10 years. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

The mission of the center is to provide a safe, nurturing, challenging, teaching and learning environment that instills and fosters a desire for learning among children, families, and students. Staff members are experienced professionals who attend training annually and are sensitive to the individual needs of young children.

The Regional Center for the Advancement of Children provides appropriate play experiences that contribute to the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of each child. This is accomplished by providing learning centers and motivational activities that build important foundations for reading, writing, counting, and other academic achievements.

Applications are accepted year round. Subsidy vouchers are accepted. For more information, to schedule a tour, or to enroll your child, please contact Director Sara Galvin at 828.565.4187 or email sgalvin@haywood.edu.
