The Small Business Center at Haywood Community College will offer a free 2-hour workshop on “How to Use Twitter and Facebook for your Business” on Tuesday, September 1 from 6-8 pm at the Regional High Technology Center auditorium. Participants are invited to bring their laptops and follow along as Troy Tolle, VP & CTO of DigitalChalk, demonstrates on the large overhead screen. Everyone will be able to get signed up and interacting by the end of the night.

Is Facebook just for college kids? What in the world is Twitter and why do I care? Learn how to use Social Media to reach your customers and the etiquette of the social media world. Explore the lingo of the "Tweet" and discuss the successes and failures all in 140 characters.

Tolle has helped many local and national companies form their social media strategy and reach their customers in new and unique ways using internet technologies. He speaks regularly to corporations, non-profits and organizations, training everyone from the executives to the new hire about consistency of message and being effective with social media.

Tolle will be accompanied by Pam Lewis, Senior Vice President for Entrepreneurial Development at AdvantageWest and co-sponsor of this event. Call the Small Business Center at 627 4512 to preregister for this free workshop.
