The Forestry Club at Haywood Community College and North Carolina Cooperative Extension will be hosting a workshop geared for landowners interested in improving their forestlands on Thursday, November 19th from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the HCC Auditorium.

Several speakers from the North Carolina Division of Forest Resources and North Carolina Cooperative Extension will be presenting information on the following topics: Estate Planning, Forest Medicinal Plants, Forest Planning/Management for Tax Purposes, Black Walnut Production, and Natural Hardwood Forest Management.

The workshop, while geared to provide information for absentee landowners in Haywood County, is open for any landowners interested in learning more about effectively managing their forest lands.
