The Canton NAPA Automotive Parts store recently donated tools to Haywood Community College’s Automotive Technology program. The donations included an Automatic Trans Tech II Transmission Service System which recycles transmission fluid and an assortment of air tools including everything down to nuts and bolts.
“The addition of these tools is a great way to teach students to use equipment that exists out in the field,” explains HCC Automotive instructor Bruce Campbell. “It is also a nice fit for the college’s green initiative.”
Owners of the Canton NAPA Automotive Parts store, Tim and Marcia Jones and Josh Estes, are planning to establish a scholarship for HCC Automotive Systems students.
