Students who are enrolled in Haywood Community College’s Continuing Education Digital Photography class will exhibit their work at the Canton Branch of the Haywood County Public Library from March 14 through June 30. Opening reception will be held on Sunday, April 1 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. This exhibit is being held in coordination with the Haywood County Arts Council.
Though this course, students focused on the creative process of concept to completion, while learning the technical and creative aspects of the craft. Upon completion, students will have a professional portfolio that can be presented in a print or a digital portfolio.
HCC Photography instructor Lori Johnson taught the course and will also be exhibiting work at the event. Johnson has been teaching photography courses for curriculum and community education for 10 years. She is a freelance photographer whose work has been shown throughout the U.S. She has a Master of Fine Arts in Photography from Savannah College of Art and Design.
