Haywood Community College’s Regional Center for the Advancement of Children (RCAC) is currently taking applications for the North Carolina Pre-K Program for the 2012-2013 school year. The NC Pre-K Program is designed to provide high-quality educational experiences to enhance school readiness for eligible four-year-olds.
Children must be 4 years of age on or before August 31, 2012 and meet income and other eligibility guidelines. For those that qualify, the program which runs August through May daily from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. is FREE!
The RCAC is a 5-star rated facility which features age-appropriate furnishings and learning toys and provides nutritious meals and snacks for children. The Center has a secure check in and check out system. Tours are available upon request.
The Center employs qualified professionals who provide efficient care, instruction, and guidance for each child. Staff nurtures a child’s natural imagination and creativity through interactive play and instructional activities. The Center will receive new playgrounds featuring natural elements in 2012. The RCAC has low child to staff ratios in a clean and cheerful environment and is a family friendly center.
