Haywood Community College’s Jammin’ at the Millpond offered something for everyone. This free event showcases the college programs and students, as well as alumni and Appalachian heritage events. The day long festivities featured demonstrations and hands-on activities, a vintage car show, and many children’s activities.
The finale of the event is bringing the molasses off the fire. HCC Hand Wrought Metals instructor David Burnette orchestrates the molasses making and is pictured filling jars.
Clyde the Bobcat brought smiles throughout the day.
