Haywood Community College’s 2014 graduation ceremonies will be held on Friday, May 9 at 5 and 7:30 p.m. Both ceremonies will take place on the Clyde campus in the Charles M. Beall Auditorium, Student Services Building. This year, more than 700 certificates, diplomas, or degrees will be awarded.

Due to limited space and the increased number of graduates participating, two separate graduation ceremonies will be held this year. The 5 p.m. ceremony will include graduates of the following programs of study:  Advanced Technologies, Arts & General Education, Business & Entrepreneurship, and Creative Arts.

The 7:30 p.m. ceremony will include graduates of the following programs of study:  Health & Human Services and Natural Resources Management.

Master Teacher of the Year Award will also be presented at the ceremony. The Master Teacher Award is a distinguished teaching award presented to the full-time curriculum faculty member who most exemplifies excellence in teaching by demonstrating consistently excellent teaching, leadership, and service to the College and the community. The recipient is the College's nominee for the annual North Carolina Community College System Excellence in Teaching Award.

The recipient of the 2014 HCC Outstanding Alumni Award will also be recognized at both ceremonies. The Outstanding Alumni Award is given annually to a Haywood Community College Alumnus who has attained distinction and success in his or her career field or through community service.
