The Haywood Community College Foundation and the Arts, Sciences, and Natural Resources Department are sponsoring a Dendro for a Day Workshop on Saturday, June 28. Through Dendro for a Day, participants will attend a tree identification workshop using the HCC campus as a resource to gain field experience in identifying trees. Two sessions will be offered. The morning session will be held from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and the afternoon session will be from 12 until 4 p.m. Both sessions will include lunch with a guest speaker, classroom instruction, and walking tour field instruction. Workshops will be led by HCC’s Natural Resources instructors. The workshop is free of charge but space is limited. Call 627-4522 to reserve a seat. There will be no rain date. Come prepared for outdoors. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
